“The Kelowna affiliate of HFH Canada was speedily formed and the Hansens, after a series of interviews, were selected as the recipients of the first house.” Construction began in the summer of 1993. Kelowna's first house project was completed with 90 percent of materials donated, which set a Canadian record for a Habitat build.

Habitat for Humanity Kelowna was founded twenty years ago. The vision began in December 1991 when then City Councillor Marion Bremner called a handful of people together to consider if a Habitat affiliate could come to Kelowna. She was excited about "the idea of a community getting together with a solution, as opposed to looking to government." Home Depot “Paper Hammer” campaign raises over $13,000

Royal Bank of Canada Foundation awards $10,000 to HFH Kelowna

Habitat for Humanity Kelowna is very pleased to announce that it has been awarded a ten thousand dollar grant from the Royal Bank of Canada Foundation.  The monies will be used toward the current Phase Two Elk Road on the Westside.
