Caution: Scam Artists use Habitat name in fraud email scheme

Habitat for Humanity supporters are cautioned that an email claiming to be from Habitat for Humanity and offering a ten percent commission for collecting donations is a fraud. As reported by the CBC, "An email is circulating across North America [which] asks would-be recruits to collect money from donors." Habitat does not operate this way. Since 1996, The Home Depot has been the largest supporter of Habitat for Humanity in Canada. We are pleased to announce that our affiliate has been awarded a Sustainable Building Grant from The Home Depot Canada Foundation for our Westside build.
